Time to slay, announces the flaming heart, because apparently ordinary motivation was not visually dramatic enough.
The design combines oversized lettering with flames and a bright heart, giving “slay” the full queer pep-talk treatment. It is encouragement with stage lights: less “believe in yourself” printed over a mountain, more “you have five minutes, the look is correct, go.” The phrase works because slaying can mean almost anything done with conviction.
A night out, a presentation, a first date, an exam, a workout or simply leaving the house after a week that tried you. The graphic does not ask for perfection; it asks for entrance music. Black heather, royal blue, pebble, lilac and white let the yellow flames and colourful heart do the heavy lifting.
This original Queer In The World design is for drag fans, queer maximalists and anybody whose internal motivational speaker has excellent eyeliner.
There is a useful difference between generic Pride merchandise and a shirt with a precise point of view. Time To Slay! keeps the message specific, and using the graphic treatment makes it memorable enough to wear beyond a single event.
The result is a graphic piece that can live in an everyday wardrobe while still carrying the exact phrase, joke or value that made you choose it.
