April Carrión found a tropical unit of measurement for shade and somehow made botany part of drag vocabulary.
On Drag Race Season 6, Puerto Rican queen April Carrión delivered the immortal assessment, “Girl, you're shady. You're shadier than a palm tree.” It is a perfect drag line because the metaphor is silly, visual and immediately understandable: enough shade to block the sun, delivered with the casual precision of somebody who has already judged the situation. “Shade” itself comes from Black queer and ballroom culture, where it names the art of the indirect insult. April simply gave the concept landscaping.
This April Carrión-inspired long sleeve belongs at drag brunch, tropical holidays, viewing parties and group dinners where subtle insults are already in circulation. Sand Dune keeps it resort-camp, poppy turns it louder, gold makes it gloriously sunny. Drag Race clothing for people who can throw shade without ever raising the temperature.

Sizing Guide
This is a retail-fit long sleeve T-shirt rather than a heavyweight sweatshirt, so compare the measurements with a long sleeve tee you already like. Choose your usual size for the intended fit, go up if you want more room through the body or space for layering, or size down if you prefer a closer silhouette.
If you are between sizes, check our Measuring Guide before ordering.
