QUEER, rainbow, green ground: one very clear piece of soft furnishing.
The Queer Rainbow Pillow uses Green Queer Rainbow Pillow with a rainbow graphic and “QUEER” in bold white letters on an armchair in a sunlit living room. The result is less 'Pride merchandise placed on a sofa' and more a real statement cushion with enough graphic presence to shape the room around it.
Queer has been reclaimed by many people as a broad word for sexuality, gender, culture and politics outside straight-cis defaults. In the home, it can be identity, humour and aesthetic all at once.
Green ground, white QUEER and a rainbow graphic can anchor a sunlit room with plants, cream upholstery and warm timber. It is clean, direct Pride décor that still feels like an actual home.
It makes a queer throw pillow for someone who wants their interiors to say something more specific than 'I own a rainbow.' As LGBTQ+ home decor cushion, it is especially good for a new apartment, queer housewarming, birthday, chosen-family gift or the friend whose home already has a point of view.
Under the camp is a useful piece of soft furnishing: linen-feel polyester, hidden zipper, machine-washable case and a plump shape-retaining insert included. It is made to look like an intentional cushion, not a novelty cover waiting for filler.
