Love is always love. The bar already knew; the law took longer.
The stylised rainbow keeps the slogan recognisably queer without overcomplicating it.
“Love is love” became powerful precisely because it exposed how absurd it was to place same-sex and queer relationships in a separate moral category.
Pride, weddings, dates, bars and ordinary summer weekends all fit this one; the message works best when queer love is allowed to be ordinary.
The white cotton, relaxed fit and wide armholes make it easy to dress up with jewellery or down with shorts. It is soft enough for the everyday life the slogan was always arguing queer people deserved.
