Intersexual And Proud takes a cute bear, a yellow-and-purple heart and one very specific identity word, then lets the wearer decide how proudly, privately or playfully they want to own it.
There is something refreshing about intersex representation that is not medical, tragic or delivered by somebody in a white coat.
Here, the bear is adorable, the heart is bright and the whole mood is much closer to “yes, this is part of me” than “please gather around while I explain my body.” The artwork itself uses “Intersexual And Proud,” an older or less common wording than “intersex,” which is why this is a piece for somebody who genuinely chooses that language for themself.
That specificity is a strength, not a problem. Pride should sound like the person wearing it, not like a terminology committee edited their chest.
The point of Intersexual And Proud is not to make you more legible to strangers. It is to feel legible to yourself. Take it to Pride, intersex community events, queer spaces or just on a day when you want yellow and purple doing the talking before anybody gets curious.

This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel.
