Fly Away From Gender Roles gives three smiling balloons the job of escaping expectations, and honestly they look delighted to be getting the hell out of there.
Gender roles have an exhausting habit of showing up before anybody asks whether they fit. Wear this. Do that. Earn this. Cook that. Boys should be tough. Girls should be nice. Men lead. Women care. Everybody please select from the approved emotional menu. The balloons have heard enough and are leaving the building. That is what makes the design joyful rather than preachy.
You do not have to reject every tradition, abandon your gender or live one particular kind of queer life. You just get to choose which expectations actually belong to you and which ones can float away without a forwarding address. Some rules deserve discussion. Others deserve helium.
Fly Away From Gender Roles works best as part of a life, not as a piece of commentary about one. Bring it to Pride, campus, community events, casual weekends or the day you deliberately put together an outfit somebody once told you was “not for” your gender. This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel. If your order includes other items, they may be produced separately and arrive in more than one parcel.
