Being Straight Was My Phase takes one of the oldest things queer people get told and hands it back with flowers, tea and immaculate timing.
“It is probably just a phase” has been used for decades to make queer identity sound temporary, confused or not worth taking seriously. Fine. Let us flip it. Maybe straight was the phase. Maybe it was the label you used before you had better information. Maybe it was camouflage, assumption, experimentation or just the word everybody handed you before you got to choose one yourself.
The teapot and flowers make the reversal feel playful instead of bitter, which is exactly why the line lands. You are not defending yourself. You are looking back with a little smile and deciding the temporary part was somewhere else. Some phases end. Some identities finally begin once the pretending does.
A good graphic tee should say something before you do, and Being Straight Was My Phase manages that without taking over. This one belongs at Pride, queer brunch, dates, coming-out anniversaries or family gatherings where the joke will be appreciated rather than weaponised. This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel. If your order includes other items, they may be produced separately and arrive in more than one parcel.
