Queer, in rainbow bubble letters and ready for the post.
The Queer Postcard puts the word inside a rainbow-striped bubble against bright yellow, with small red shapes giving the graphic a playful rhythm. It feels a little retro and a little exuberant, making a short written message look like it arrived with personality already attached. The blank back leaves the actual words of affection, thanks or greeting entirely to you.
There is something pleasing about choosing a card that recognizes the person before you have written anything. You might send it to a queer friend, use it for a chosen-family note or keep it nearby because you enjoy the artwork yourself. The design can hold a broad sense of belonging without requiring the recipient to explain which particular label fits them best.
Write the tiny update that would otherwise disappear into a message thread, add a few lines to a gift or send a proper hello to someone you have not seen lately. The bright front gives the note a cheerful presence on arrival. A postcard makes room for a small, intentional gesture, with just enough space to say something that feels worth keeping.
The thick matte paper and standard postcard format make it useful for posting or displaying, so the print can live on a pinboard after the message has been read. You can also keep a blank one as a small piece of queer art. Whether it travels across a border or stays above your desk, the rainbow bubble gives the word a playful place to belong.
