A warning label at the hips is a wonderfully unsubtle way to begin the flirtation.
Queer underwear loves stealing visual language from places that were never meant to be sexy. Warning tape is especially useful: graphic, industrial, a little dangerous and instantly recognisable. Wrapped around the hips, it turns a simple low-rise brief into something much louder. The familiar brief shape makes the graphic feel wearable rather than theatrical.
The OBSO Caution Low-Waisted Briefs keep the silhouette clean and fitted while the oversized CAUTION waistband does all the shouting. The low rise sits beneath the natural waist, the front keeps a classic brief shape, and the black, blue and yellow colourways each play differently with the hazard-tape styling.
Wear them as everyday underwear with a private joke at the waist, let the band show above jeans, or make them part of a Pride, circuit or bedroom look. They are simple enough to live in the drawer and bold enough to deserve being seen outside it.
The hazard-tape reference looks especially good against a simple outfit because it has such a clear visual message. A plain tank or dark jeans lets the waistband make its little announcement without competing decoration. Keep the warning private until later, or show the band from the start; these low-waisted briefs leave the timing of that joke entirely to you.
