Bowler hat, black bodysuit, stockings. Cabaret has left the stage and reached the sticker drawer.
The bowler hat, black bodysuit and stockings are unmistakably Cabaret-coded, tapping into Liza Minnelli's particular place in queer performance culture. This is for theatre gays, vintage-camp collectors and anyone who considers 'Liza with a Z' basic literacy.
Liza Minnelli's Cabaret performance and broader Broadway-Hollywood lineage made her one of camp culture's enduring icons, with a visual vocabulary of bowler hats, black stockings, enormous eyes and enormous emotion.
It belongs on a makeup mirror, laptop, travel case, notebook or media setup where the reference can function like an inside joke every time you see it.
This Drag Race sticker is made for the queer pop-culture obsessive who will recognise Liza Minnelli before anybody finishes explaining the reference. It belongs in drag kits, laptop sticker bombs, mirrors, travel cases and gifts that reward extremely specific cultural literacy.
High-opacity vinyl gives the colours and lettering a strong finish, while the bubble-free construction helps avoid the wrinkled-sticker tragedy. Clean the surface first, press it down smoothly and enjoy the tiny piece of queer real estate.
