Daniel Quasar created the Progress Pride Flag in 2018, moving the trans colours and black and brown stripes into a forward-pointing chevron to foreground trans people and marginalised people of colour. The black stripe also honours people living with AIDS, the stigma surrounding it, and those lost. The arrow points forward while making clear that progress is still unfinished.
