Daniel Quasar developed the progress pride flag in 2018 by bringing trans-flag colours and black and brown stripes into a chevron that places marginalised communities at the forefront and points toward work still ahead. Quasar also gave the black stripe an additional meaning for people living with AIDS, stigma and those lost to the disease.
