A glittery rainbow cat with a gold-tone head and tail is exactly the kind of queer nonsense a serious jacket needs.
Cats have become internet familiars, domestic divas and accidental camp icons, which makes them unusually compatible with queer accessory culture. This one arches itself into a rainbow, putting a feline face on the colours you love. Cute, odd and proudly decorative, it brings its own personality to the front of a jacket without needing a slogan underneath.
The Rainbow Cat Enamel Pin combines a rainbow-striped body with a glittery gold-tone head and tail. That mix of bright stripes and sparkling detail gives denim, canvas and pin boards a small but noticeable focal point. Wear it beside a name badge, above a jacket pocket or wherever your favourite accessories tend to gather.
For the queer cat person whose camera roll is mostly whiskers, this is pleasingly specific Pride merch. It celebrates two things you already have strong feelings about, and it does so with a slightly ridiculous silhouette. The arched rainbow makes the whole design readable even when it joins an already crowded collection of LGBT enamel pins.
A single pin can make a well-worn tote feel more yours, especially when the design has a sense of humour. Keep this cat on your everyday bag, let it brighten a festival outfit or give it to the friend who always sends you rescue-cat updates. There is room for affection, colour and a little camp in the daily uniform.
