You Are Who You Choose To Be Enamel Pin

The Iron Giant delivering You Are Who You Choose To Be turns one animated robot into a remarkably good argument for self-authorship.

The Iron Giant centres a machine built for destruction that chooses another way to exist through care, friendship and moral agency. That idea naturally resonates with queer and trans audiences who know what it is like to be told what they are supposed to become, without requiring the film itself to be rewritten as an LGBTQ+ allegory.

The You Are Who You Choose To Be Enamel Pin features an Iron Giant-inspired robot head and upper body with yellow eyes and banner-style wording.

For animation lovers and anyone trying to become more than the role somebody else assigned them, this is self-definition delivered by one extremely good robot.
