The cat said we are here and queer. The lease has been updated.
The We Are Here And We Are Queer Pillow uses Queer pride pillow with a cartoon cat in teal shirt, framed by a rainbow heart and “WE ARE HERE AND WE ARE QUEER” slogan. The result is less 'Pride merchandise placed on a sofa' and more a real statement cushion with enough graphic presence to shape the room around it.
Queer has been reclaimed by many people as a broad word for sexuality, gender, culture and politics outside straight-cis defaults. In the home, it can be identity, humour and aesthetic all at once.
The cartoon cat inside a rainbow heart is playful enough for a studio, guest room or colourful family space. Pair teal and rainbow accents with warm timber and soft neutrals so the design reads joyful, not juvenile.
It makes a queer throw pillow for someone who wants their interiors to say something more specific than 'I own a rainbow.' As LGBTQ+ home decor cushion, it is especially good for a new apartment, queer housewarming, birthday, chosen-family gift or the friend whose home already has a point of view.
Under the camp is a useful piece of soft furnishing: linen-feel polyester, hidden zipper, machine-washable case and a plump shape-retaining insert included. It is made to look like an intentional cushion, not a novelty cover waiting for filler.
