Make Drag Not War takes an old peace slogan, gives it lashes and asks a genuinely fair question about where the world should be spending its energy.
The wording borrows the rhythm of “make love, not war” and replaces the expected answer with a queer art form built from transformation, satire, costume, music and nerve. That makes the joke playful, but the politics under it are not frivolous. Drag has long created community, challenged rigid gender rules and offered people a place to exaggerate the very things society tells them to hide.
Against that history, “Make Drag Not War” feels less like a throwaway pun and more like a demand for more creativity, more safety and substantially fewer people trying to control everybody else’s lives.
Wear it to a drag show, Pride, a protest, a viewing party or any event where glamour and politics are already sharing the room. It also makes a sharp gift for the friend who believes the correct response to authoritarian seriousness is sometimes a wig, a microphone and an aggressively well-timed reveal. The illustrated queen keeps the design joyful, which is important.
Resistance does not have to look permanently grim to be meaningful. Make art. Make space. Make a scene if necessary. Just make war considerably less fashionable.

This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel.
