Bright colour, lipstick energy and a phrase that has survived feminism, pop music, friendship bracelets and several decades of marketing. Fine. It still hits when the person wearing it actually means it.
Girl power can be the woman running the room, the trans girl finally dressing like herself, the dyke fixing everybody’s car, the femme setting a boundary, the sister who stayed, the friend who rebuilt after something ugly, or the girl who simply stopped apologising for wanting more. It does not need one acceptable kind of femininity and it definitely does not need to look polite.
The lipstick can stay. So can the backbone.
Girl Power is not a costume piece; it is built for actual rotation. Take it to Pride, concerts, birthdays, brunch, campus, nights out or the workday when your tolerance for being underestimated is particularly low. Style it femme, masc, sporty, glittery or like you forgot the shirt had a message at all. That is the point. Girl power is not a dress code.
Give it to somebody who already knows that confidence can wear lip gloss and steel-caps in the same week. The phrase may be classic. The woman inside it is not required to be.

This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel. If your order includes other items, they may be produced separately and arrive in more than one parcel.
