Cub is one of those gay subculture words that works best when the person using it has chosen it for himself. It can suggest a younger bear-adjacent guy, some body hair, a softer or smaller build, a particular community vibe, or simply the label that felt right when other categories did not. None of that is a body inspection checklist.
The cartoon character keeps the whole thing playful instead of scientific, giving the wearer a mascot rather than a diagnosis. He looks confident, slightly underdressed and entirely unconcerned with whether strangers approve the classification. Gay male culture has enough body sorting already; the useful part of words like cub is recognition, flirting and finding your people, not assigning categories from across a room.
If the chest has already started the conversation, Gay Cub has done its job. This one belongs at Pride, bear events, gay bars, dates or casual weekends when a little subculture recognition feels good. It also makes a fantastic gift for somebody who already calls himself a cub and will actually enjoy the joke.
Do not use it to label someone because you have decided their chest hair meets criteria. Queer taxonomies are supposed to help people find community, flirt and have fun, not become another system for strangers to police. The cub gets the final say on being a cub.

This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel.
