Wear it because respectability politics are boring, because being visibly gay still feels delicious, or because you enjoy slogans that sound one bad decision away from becoming evidence. Throw it on for Pride, a queer bar, a protest-adjacent night out, a house party or the Sunday coffee run after behaving questionably but legally. It works especially well with battered denim, boots, leather, tiny shorts or whatever else makes you look like the person your aunt was warned about. If somebody reads it too literally, that is their administrative problem.
