The paw and fur-toned stripes say bear before anybody has to explain the body politics.
Craig Byrnes created the International Bear Brotherhood flag in 1995, giving bear culture a shared symbol built around fur-toned diversity and the familiar paw. Bear spaces helped push back against narrow gay beauty standards by making bigger, hairier, older and rugged bodies visibly desirable and socially central.
Twenty by fifteen millimetres gives the Bear Pride design just enough room to keep the fur-toned stripes and paw readable on denim, leather and event gear. It feels equally right at a bear run and on the jacket you wear to the bar afterwards.
For bears, cubs, admirers and anyone who knows the paw is community rather than decoration, this is subcultural home in 20 millimetres.
