Respect people's pronouns, please. We have added “please” because apparently manners still need merchandising.
The request is almost comically ordinary. Somebody tells you how they are referred to; you use those words. You do not need to solve gender, understand somebody's entire history or conduct a visual investigation of their body before the sentence becomes usable.
Listen, try, correct yourself when necessary and resist the urge to turn your mistake into a five-minute performance the other person now has to comfort you through. The purple planet gives the message a little queer-cosmic charm, but the practical part is aggressively earthbound. Names and pronouns are everyday social information. Treating them that way is much less exhausting for everybody involved.
The point of Respect People's Pronouns Please is not to make you more legible to strangers. It is to feel legible to yourself. Bring it to Pride, campus, work, community events, conferences or any place where people are meeting one another and assumptions tend to arrive before introductions.
It is especially useful for allies and queer people who want to make the norm visible without printing their own pronouns specifically. The tone is polite because politeness should be enough. If someone still needs a debate after reading “please,” the problem was probably never grammar. Use the pronouns. Continue the conversation. There are more interesting things to discuss.

This Queer In The World Original Design is printed to order, so please allow around 2-5 business days for production before dispatch. Making each piece only after it is ordered helps avoid overproduction and unsold inventory, and orders are fulfilled regionally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel. If your order includes other items, they may be produced separately and arrive in more than one parcel.
